Gold on Silver Lake

The first ice over of Silver Lake this season didn’t happen until January 2016.  The picture was sent via the website from a lake resident.  She captured the beauty of this winter season. So spectacular!

Frozen Silver Lake

What a difference a day makes.  Geese are now flying onto a frozen sheet of ice on this day of January 5th, 2016.  This is the first time this year the lake has ice.  Warmer weather predicted but it won’t be long before those ice fishermen will be here and the geese gone!
